Val was born and raised in Medicine Hat, AB. She first moved to Calgary in 1988, and later started her family here, raising four wonderful children as a stay at home mom. In 2020 she started work as a dental receptionist, and has loved the opportunity it has given her to meet new people and catch up with familiar faces, all while making them feel welcome and comfortable in the space. When Val is not working she loves spending her time with family, travelling, and pushing herself towards new goals at the gym. Fun fact: she has competed in Hyrox in 4 different countries.
